She’s boarded with the Atlantic from the South Mother of a Black Nation, from Creation She held arrays of generation Her skin is painted green and white But her soul is in colours Her offspring’s were traded for slaves Centuries pass for freedom the crave She’s had trials and wars Part of her is been scavenged by vultures The milk from her gland created a deceitful dynasty Filled with greed, treachery and envy Gluttony in their blood, lies in their breathe Promises from frail words Are lost, like shadows in the dark But in peril and cloudy days, she glows She is loved and called Nigeria Even the heaven knows
