In Nigeria now, the younger generation is striving to be entrepreneurs. Doctors, lawyers, accountants and the likes are leaving degrees and honors to focus more on talent and ideas. One of the ideas is Call-A-messenger. Call-A-messenger is a concierge company that deals with personalized errands and soft cleaning. Soft cleaning is like helping take care of house chores in a slight manner and make your home look tidy. This company is owned and run by Mayowa Bucknor. As a bright young man, looking towards the stress free future of Nigeria, he looked into an idea based on something he lacked. It was difficult to get some things done without the inconvenience and time wastage so he decided to think of how to help himself but instead built a company to help others like him. “I don’t want to keep people around me all the time because I love living alone but I can still get people to get it done. Like we (Call-A-Messenger)can give personal drivers as well. We can supply you with a personal driver for a week and you will pay daily.” – Bucknor Call-A-Messenger works in a simple method with plans that can fit your budget both on a personal level and a business level.  The rates are reasonable and they come in two plans. The first plan is called the “Flexi plan.” This plan is mainly for the small business. It creates the avenue where the small businesses can get their goods to their customers in a timely fashion without delay. Deliveries go as low as N200 – N1000, depending on the location. There is a subscription fee as well. There is also a contract plan which runs on a monthly basis. This price is usually given on request. The messenger will be with you for a month or based on the time period paid for; a month being the least duration for the contract plan. This company with an already attractive line up of clients like Protea Hotel (West Wood), Costain West Africa, Forte Oil and so on, is the new way to pay for services without any living-in liabilities to deal with. Mayowa Bucknor has created an elevator in the world of stairs.
