Hugely celebrated veteran artist, Tu Baba, began his own concert last year, the Buckwyld and Breathless concert. The concert, which left a mark in the hearts of its attendees and viewers, seems to be more than just a show to gather artists and have them perform. In an interview with Showtime where Tu Baba was asked why he began the Buckwyld and Breathless concert, he said that the concert is the only place where fans and lovers of good music have the opportunity to see him as an entertainer. In his words: “You know people like good music and great live performances, so I’m keeping that spirit alive because that’s the only place people get to watch me on a full scale. Buckwyld and Breathless is a scripted concert; it’s not like the regular shows where you just come to perform and go; it has a lot of props and so many artistic creative innovations on stage. That’s why I said it’s not like a regular show you attend all the time. People may not understand it until they come and watch me perform on stage at the concert”. Without a doubt, the words of Tu Baba seems to hold strong given the many memorable experiences from the concert held last year; From M.I’s incredible entrance which wowed everyone, to the heartfelt tributes to OJB Jezreel. The latest edition of the concert is set to hold this October and we are already gearing ourselves as we wait in high anticipation for what promises to be an awesome show, judging by last year’s standards. This edition of the concert has been tagged ‘The Lagos Dream’ and it will hold at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotels on Sunday, 22nd October 2017. The show will be headlined by Tu Baba alongside Tiwa Savage with live performances from many other guest artists.
