M.A.C (Make-up Art Cosmetics), a leading cosmetics company with presence in over 80 countries, has announced the opening of its second store in Lagos. The store will be opened at The Palms Shopping Mall, Lekki, on September 1, 2013.
M.A.C first opened a store at Ikeja Shopping Mall in February, in partnership with Essenza Company. The store gives Nigerian women the opportunity to experience M.A.C products and collections, as they are released globally on a monthly basis.
The company also announced grants totalling $350,000 to fight against HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. The M.A.C AIDS Fund (MAF) is a pioneer in HIV/AIDS funding, providing financial support to organizations working with underserved regions and populations.
The grants have been awarded to The Business Leadership Council for a Generation Born HIV Free and Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI).
The grant was awarded to The Business Leadership Council to help accelerate the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT) services in Nigeria. And through Skillz Naija, a soccer based in-school curriculum, YEDI will drive HIV awareness and promote life skills among Nigerian youth.
