Gloria Anozie added another Gold medal to Nigeria’s medal haul at the on going Paralympics in London.
She won the Gold in Women’s +82.50kg Power-Lifting event to bring Nigeria’s total medal haul in the Power-Lifting event to 12 (6 Golds, 5 Silvers and 1 Bronze) placing the country on first position in the event and 15th on overall standings.
Obioma Aligekwe couldn’t replicate his compatriot’s outing earlier in the day and had to settle for 5th position in the Men’s -100kg event by lifting 225kg.
Egyptian Mohamed Eldib set a new World Record (249kg) on his way to winning Gold. Chinese Dong Qi and Iranian Sadeghzadehsalmani took Silver and Bronze respectively.
