Quick, easy and definitely a lot of people’s favourite, fruit popsicles are a good alternative to the store bought classic popsicles. You can make this using any fruit you have at home, mix different kinds of fruit, and play around with colours. This fruit popsicle is also very easy for kids to make all by themselves. Ingredients Fruits of your choice Popsicle stick and container (you can substitute with an ice tray and toothpick) Freezer Steps
  1. Pour the fruits you want to use in a blender and blend to your desired consistency. Popsicles are usually of a watery consistency. You can choose watermelon, bananas, pineapple, etc.
  2. Pour the blended fruit into a popsicle container. If you don’t have that, you can substitute with an ice tray. Don’t let the fruits overflow each cube though.
  3. Stick a popsicle stick (same one used for ice cream), into each popsicle container or ice cube. If you are using an ice tray, the stick won’t stay inside the blended fruit. Allow the fruit to stay in the freezer till it is a bit frozen, and then you can bring it out, stick in the toothpick or stick, and put back into the freezer to completely solidify.
  4. Once the fruits are completely frozen, you can bring them out and serve. This should be done in a few hours. If you are using an ice tray, you will need to pop each popsicle out of the tray before serving.
This is an easy snack that you can whip up in no time. Enjoy!   About the author: Amina Salau is a writer and editor running The Illuminated Pen. You can find her online at www.theilluminatedpen.com and on Twitter (@_Aminah)
