Make your visitors excited by what you put out on your profile. It is not arguable that your profile picture should be your business/brand logo. In this section, take your time to describe what your business is all about. Showcase your brand with emojis, catchy words and a track record of how good your product or service is. Make your prospective customers feel like following you right away and purchasing what you have to offer. You can also include your business hashtag(s) so that your visitors can directly check out posts about your business. Another thing you could consider, which works, is to include a call to action. For example, “Our customers always come back for more. Get started today!” This will give your visitors an impression that you know what you are doing, and they will likely want to find out more.

  • Properly Use URL and Highlights

When creating or updating your Instagram profile, you will notice a section dedicated to URL (website links). Don’t ignore it, utilize it! This link should be a link to your website, YouTube channel, portfolio or any other social media platform. The link should be a one-stop-shop for your online presence, where visitors get to have more information about your business and interact better with you. Instagram story highlights is another worthwhile way to interact with your visitors/followers. Unlike the regular Instagram Stories where your uploads disappear within 24 hours, the story highlights are like a store for all the stories you will love to share with your viewers. Take advantage of this and upload your giveaways, events, virtual hangouts and every other interesting thing, so that your visitors/followers can catch up with your business. You can categorize the stories for easy accessibility. Some businesses use the initials of their business names. But just do you and make sure it reflects your brand.
