  • Pay attention to your visual identity

The overall design of your presentation should reflect your brand. Also ensure you achieve consistency with the fonts, sizes and colors. Choose a simple and yet unique template across your entire slides. Your visual identity should be exactly what is obtainable in your brand book. And if you do not have one, you should consider working on that before you even start projecting your brand to investors or anyone else that cares to listen to whatever you want to say. You need to be identified with neatness, uniqueness and class. Don’t jeopardize this. 
  • Do less words

It is not advisable to have the entire story of your brand or everything you’d say on your slides. That will be too wordy. Use as less words as possible. Just write the necessary things. Keep it short, and explain more when making your pitch.

An alternative to many words will be to use images and videos where possible. Use graphic images to describe what you are saying. When speaking on a particular concept, do more of showing than telling. For instance, when talking about your financial projections, just list numbers, use images to reflect what you are saying. It makes your content more digestible.
  • Be convincing

The best way to get your potential investors to invest is to talk about the value your business brings. Inasmuch as they are seeking the financial outcomes of their investment, they want to be sure that your business is not just another name on the business block.
