Through investment in dedicated young leaders addressing critical concerns such as child marriage, gender-based violence, and disability advocacy, the Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship seeks to cultivate a fresh cohort of compassionate, bold, and forward-thinking leaders dedicated to building a fairer, more inclusive, and equitable society for everyone.

Qualification Criteria
- Available to emerging leaders between 18 – 30 years old who are currently leading or holding leadership positions within organisations or initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact in areas corresponding to one or more of these focus areas:
- Mental Health, encompassing neurodivergence and developmental variations.
- Domestic & Sexual Violence prevention and response.
- Disability Rights & advocacy for elderly individuals.
- Gynaecological Health & Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights.
- Maternal and Child Health services and advocacy.
- Girl Child concerns (including FGM, Child-Adolescent Pregnancy & Child Marriage).
- Non-Communicable Disease prevention and management.
- Must reside and create impact within Africa, Asia, or the Middle East regions.

The majority of participants fall within the 18-30 age range. One Young World’s selection committee may review submissions from candidates over 30 years old, provided they can demonstrate significant personal impact, leadership initiative, and commitment to active participation. Applications from individuals who will be under 18 at the Summit date cannot be processed. The deadline for applications is not yet specified. Click HERE to apply.
