  Up to $160,000 in Prizes Available for Young African Agrifood Entrepreneurs. The seventh annual GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition has launched, seeking innovative young founders and co-founders who are transforming Africa’s agrifood value chain “from seed to fork.”

As an integral component of the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF), the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2025, Now Accepting Applications, aligns with the 2025 AFSF theme: “Africa’s Youth: Leading Collaboration, Innovation and Implementation of Agri-Food Systems Transformation.” The competition aims to empower youth entrepreneurs from all five regions of Africa (West, Northern, Southern, Central, and Eastern) who are ready to showcase, grow, and scale their agrifood ventures.

Who Can Apply

Eligible candidates must:
  • Be 35 years old or younger when applying
  • Hold citizenship in an African Union member country
  • Be a founder or co-founder of a legally registered business operating in Africa (businesses must be registered by June 10, 2025)

Award Details

  • Two $50,000 grand prizes will be awarded to the top male-led and female-led agribusinesses.
  • Additional $60,000 in Impact Awards will recognise exceptional businesses in areas including:
    • Technology and innovation
    • Nutrition and food security
    • Rural livelihood improvement
    • Climate resilience
    • Gender equity
    • Natural resource conservation
    • Job creation

How to Participate

  1. Join the GoGettaz Community: Connect with the network by following @GoGettazAfrica on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Share your entrepreneurial journey using hashtags #GrowEntrepreneurs and #TransformFood.
  2. Complete the online application form.
  3. Submit your application by the June 10, 2025, deadline.
Finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses live at the AFSF Summit in Dakar, Senegal, in September 2025. Application Deadline: June 10, 2025. Click HERE to apply.
