In recent years, we have encountered the spread and death of many fashionable attires, but Ankara remains undefeated in the game of fashion. With its brightly coloured patterns which are available in different shades, this fashion trend has not only found its place in West Africa, but also in the hearts of Nigerians. Old or young. Everybody loves the Ankara print! The term Ankara which is also the capital of turkey has gained more popularity in the west due to its recurrent change in style and manner of use. Originally made for the Indonesian market, this fabric has spread to other parts of Africa, making it even more popular as it embraces the African style of fabric. Ankara also known as ‘’African prints’’, ‘’Holland wax’’, ‘’Dutch wax’’ is a 100% cotton embedded in beautiful colours and patterns which embraces the African concept. No news why this has long become an undying trend in Africa as a whole.
