  The Federal Ministry of Education is inviting Nigerians qualified Nigerians to apply for the 2023/2024 Federal Government Scholarship.

The scholarship awards cover postgraduate studies for students who want to obtain a Master’s degree or PhD in any field, in the following countries: Russia (for persons whose Bachelor’s degree was obtained in Russia), Serbia, Hungary, Romania, and China.

Benefit

This scholarship award will cover the tuition cost for students who choose to study in institutions located in the countries mentioned above.

Requirements

Applicants should meet these criteria:
  • Hold a first degree in at least the Second Class Upper division
  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, or have an exemption certificate
  • Master’s candidates should not be older than 35 years; PhD candidates should not be older than 40 years
  • Possess that their employer is willing to release them

Documents Required

Interested and qualified persons will be required to submit these items to the Federal Scholarship Board:
  • Copies of academic certificates (authenticated)
  • Their birth certificate and indigene letter
  • Data page of their current international passport
  • Medical reports from government hospitals
  • Police clearance certificate, where this applies
