Organizers of the premium fashion and lifestyle competition, Fayrouz L’Original season 2 have announced that the expression show is now open to fresh graduates, members of the National Youth Service Corps and undergraduates of Nigerian Universities. Registration has also been extended till 9th May, 2015.
The competition which kicked off last year, provides a platform for upcoming fashion designers, make-up artistes, models and photographers to exhibit their talents to the Nigerian fashion industry and get rewarded in the process.
Speaking on the new development, Senior Brand Manager, Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson explained that the reason behind the extension is to accommodate other interested participants.
“The decision to extend the closure of entry is so we can allow more creative young individuals, who are at that stage in their life where they need to become independent. So far, the response has been phenomenal and we are excited about it. We hope that the extra days will give the new applicants, graduates and corps members alike, enough time to be a part of the competition,” she said.
Edem Vindah, the Corporate Media and Brand PR Manager, NB Plc. added that the brand’s sponsorship of the competition is to further support the growth of the creative industry. He said, “Fayrouz as a brand have always associated itself with the energy and creativity of Nigerian youths. We have proven this with different campaigns in the past and we are sure of the success of this one too.”
