This call for proposals has two specific objectives: Lot 1 Objective: The Sustainable and Innovative Social Protection program will support and complement current EU-funded social protection initiatives by advocating for and raising awareness among citizens and stakeholders about effective coordination and use of the National Social Register in national planning and poverty reduction programs. Lot 2 Objective: Implementation of a comprehensive social safety net program that tests and improves practical social protection measures, focusing on beneficiaries and rights holders in selected Nigerian communities, particularly in Kebbi State. The initiative prioritises sustainable poverty reduction by targeting vulnerable households, especially women and girls in climate-impacted areas, as well as at-risk populations living near protected game reserves and national parks. Through providing sustainable livelihood opportunities and reliable pathways from poverty, the program aims to generate lasting positive community impacts, addressing both social and environmental challenges while fostering long-term resilience and economic stability for the most vulnerable population segments.
