The new generation of Nigerian movies have mastered one thing very well; how to make beautiful and captivating trailers. The movie trailers draw you in enough to buy the movie for your viewing pleasure. A lot of these movies though only have good trailers and no plot to write home about. The movie trailer has a point but the movie ends up being scattered and confusing with a lot of bad acting. At times, you’d wonder if all the best parts of the movie were used to make the trailer. The trailer for this movie was one of the good ones. Directed by the Nollywood king of action, Teco Benson, It was worth the benefit of the doubt. The plot, acting and production were very good. I would have to give kudos. The editing and directing could have gone a lot better. The movie plot was spanned through about 24 hours (on two different days). It was about a couple who faced the end of their marriage due to the groom’s past mistakes in life; his mistake, of course, being an ex fiancé. They were also sub plots about a married couple who are having problems and an engaged couple whose problems are based on when they will get married.   The cast/performance. OC Ukeje plays the lead role. He is the groom whose past comes out from nowhere to hunt him. He played this role with hardly any flaw, reacting the way he should and making this movie very believable. Keira Hewatch plays the female lead. She was the bride whose life was shattering before her eyes. Keira is a fine actress but she will need a little more directing. Sometimes her delivery wasn’t too believable and she struggled a bit with the parts where she had to be very angry. She concentrated a lot on her line delivery (pronunciation wise) and neglected her expressions Stella Damasus was the ex fiancée who was on the verge of ruining something great. Stella is a fine actress but no matter how great she played this role she looked too old for it. The male lead is a young looking guy and a young looking lady would have been a perfect fit not stella. Okey Uzoeshi plays the best man to the groom. He was also engaged to the maid of honour. He was a very good actor and I see more things for him in the future. Chelsea Eze plays the beautiful maid of honour who is hoping one day to be a bride if her fiancée finally makes up his bachelor mind. The first movie I had seen this lady in was silent scandals and I was completely blown away. She did a brilliant job. Kalu Ikeagwu plays the groom’s cousin. He is married and has his own life problems but helps in his cousin’s life as much as he can. He played his role magnificently. Blessing Effiom wrote, produced and starred in the movie. Her acting is good but I always thought there was room for improvement. She did a good job when she let her temper fly but the other parts it seemed to calculating but not flowing too naturally. She plays the wife to Kalu who is having a difficult marriage.   The plot The plot was a straight forward one. A man was in a strange dilemma because of the situation hunting him from a past he would like to forget. Now the beginning started straight forward but in the plot to mimic suspense and an understanding confusion, they started to over complicate things. Some scenes were not necessary and they were jumping into each other with no proper transition. They finally got it right in the middle and followed the right sequence instead of the hop around after the first 15 minutes. It was a good attempt to complicate a simple movie so as to catch the attention of the audience but it was not a solid attempt. It could have all been avoided. All in all, the movie was a good movie. A must watch, no but a movie that would be nice to watch yes. A few changes here and there the movie would have been one of the best delivered Nigerian movies because the movie had it all. It had a great cast, great script, great locations but the delivery of the plot was their biggest flaw. ConnectNigeria.com Rating = 79%
