Today, I’m pleased to inform you that we’re not buying today’s pizza from a fast-food restaurant, but we are making it from the scratch at home with neither cheese nor an oven. However, we will be making a white sauce in lieu of the cheese. This food will be prepared in four steps. We’ll first make the dough. Afterwards, we’ll make the tomato sauce, the white sauce and finally decorate and bake.

Ingredients

Two Cups of Flour A Teaspoon of Yeast 2 Tablespoons of Sugar A Teaspoon of Salt A Tablespoon of Oil 3/4 Cup of Warm Water Tomatoes Pepper Garlic Toppings Red Pepper Green Pepper Sausage

Method Of Preparation

Pour warm water into a sizeable bowl. Add the yeast and sugar into the bowl. Mix the ingredients and leave it to proof for at least five minutes. Sift the flour into another clean bowl. Add salt to it and mix. Combine the wet and dry ingredients together and mix thoroughly. When you can make a ball with the batter, then it’s time to take things to another level. Drizzle some oil on the dough and knead. For your information, kneading increases the elasticity of the dough. When you are done kneading, sprinkle flour on a clean work surface. Transfer the dough from the bowl to the work surface and knead till it’s smooth and stretchy. I hope you have the arm strength for this exercise because it will take at least five to ten minutes. When you’re done kneading, oil the bowl you used in mixing lightly then put the dough in it. Oiling the bowl will prevent the dough from sticking to it. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Leave the dough to rise for at least one hour. Just in case you’re wondering, you don’t rest when the dough is resting. Not when you still have pizza sauce and white sauce to make. To make the pizza sauce, clean and blend the tomatoes, pepper and onions. After blending, reduce the water content of the blended tomato mix by straining out the water. This will also shorten cooking time. Now, place a clean pot on medium heat. Add some vegetable oil to it. When it heats up, add the diced onions, sauté for a minute then pour in the blended tomato mix. Fry well. Between frying, add thyme, seasoning and salt while stirring from time to time. When your tomato sauce is ready, take it off the heat. Place another clean pan on medium heat. Add butter to the pan. When it heats up, add flour and stir till it dissolves. Add milk to the mix. Now, let the content of the pan come to a boil while stirring continuously with a whisk. Please note that stirring continuously is the only way to ensure a lump-free sauce. When the mixture thickens, it is ready. Set it aside for later use. Check the dough. If it has doubled in size, it’s ready. Lightly oil a pizza pan or a round tray. Roll out the dough and stretch it to cover the pizza pan; please, the dough shouldn’t be too thick or too thin. Now, slather the tomato sauce on the dough. Afterwards, spread the white sauce over the tomato sauce. Artfully arrange the green pepper,  red pepper and sausage on top of the white sauce. Finally, sprinkle black pepper on it. Get a large pot. Pour a pack of salt into it and preheat. Drop the tray into a pot. Bake it on low heat for twenty-five to forty-five minutes. Serve and enjoy.
