The grant awarded through the D-Prize Challenge for Social Entrepreneurs is meant to support the launch of organisations that can alleviate the effects of poverty on underserved communities. The team at D-Prize hopes that the organisations they support will eventually become large-scale, so that they can expand and deepen their impact in poor districts and regions.

Benefits
Applicants who emerge as top candidates at the end of the final round will receive up to $20,000 in grants to launch and scale their social impact organisations. Eligibility
This program is open to persons who meet these criteria:- Their organisation must not be more than 18 months old, and will not have received more than $30,000 in external funding
- Awardees will typically be first-time entrepreneurs, sometimes still in the pre-launch stage
- Existing organisations can apply if they are distributing existing and proven poverty intervention solutions
