Gbayichild Entertainment in conjunction with The Naked Convos is set to host a unique stage production themed, “Colour Me Man”. This play will explore some of the less frequently discussed things that ‘colour’ men and make them what they are. Loosely inspired by the play, “For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf” by Ntozake Shange, it is a play based on a series of monologues written by young male bloggers who take on colours that represent traits that make men ‘coloured’ by society. According to Olawale Adetula, Founder/Online Editor of The Naked Convos, “Colour Me Man” aims to express, explore and expose many of the circumstances, struggles, experiences, quirks and obstacles several groups of Nigerian men face throughout their lives. The monologues deal with wealth, family, health, love, sex, religion and much more … embodied by each man’s colour and told in his own way. The play has been adapted for the stage by award-winning writers. It is directed by Najite Dede and produced by Lydia Idakula Sobogun.
