The oil and gas industry is a broad ecosystem of players, ranging from companies that prospect for and extract crude oil, to businesses that transport and distribute refined petroleum products to consumers. Each one of these is important; their interdependence on each other enables the industry to run as it should.

Somewhere in the mix are integrated service companies, which supply and maintain equipment and transport mediums used by businesses that operate at oil fields. Without these companies, the oil enterprise would be far less safe. One such venture is TAG Energy, an integrated service company that offers a variety of oil field support services. These include valve maintenance, flange management, leak detection and repair, and the acquisition and procurement of oil field equipment. Founded in 2016, TAG Energy has steadily expanded its service capacity and broadened its client base. To date, it has delivered more than 200 projects for a large number of clients, including Shell, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Total, Daewoo, Addax Petroleum, and Nigeria LNG. It has also worked with almost two-dozen partners to deliver its services. TAG Energy’s flange management service covers the sealing of joints at chemical plants, refineries, and offshore installations. This helps to maintain joint integrity and prevent leakage at these sites. It also repairs and maintains Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs).  The company acquires equipment for operators in the upstream and downstream sectors of the petroleum industry. These items include sealing technologies, flanges, pipes and pipe fittings, insulation, and flow control materials. Taken together with its maintenance services, the provision of these items makes the company a one-stop-shop for the whole range of oil field solutions.

TAG Energy is an authorized distributor of sealing technologies produced by James Walker, a world leader in this field. The sealing products available from TAG are gaskets, O-rings, flange insulation sets, elastomers, tension control fasteners, compression packings, seals, pipe support, thermoplastic components, and structural bearings. Through its partnership with manufacturers of industrial valves, TAG Energy is able to supply its clients with such flow control materials as check valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, and globe valves. They also deliver flanges made of carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel. TAG distributes pipes and pipe fittings as well. Buttweld pipe fittings, socket weld fittings, elbows, and tee and steel fittings are all on offer. Insulation products, designed to withstand temperatures of almost 1000°C, can be procured through TAG; they can be used in the pets chemical, offshore, and power industries. TAG Energy says that it has a strong quality management and control system, which ensures that its clients have their needs met in the best possible ways. They point to their quality certification (ISO 9001:2008) as evidence of this. The petroleum industry has had to wade through turbulence in recent years. A global pandemic and uncertainty over the future of fossil fuels as an energy source have both combined to weaken the bases of many players in this space. But as long as there’s work to be done by companies that operate within the industry, service providers like TAG Energy will be around to help with the equipment that such businesses use.
