Yep, the long awaited Black Friday deals are here again. A day or days of the biggest discounts of the year from your favourite stores.

Black Friday originated from the United States of America and is one of the major shopping days of the year. It usually falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving (another American holiday). The term “Black Friday” originated in the 1960s to mark the kickoff to the Christmas shopping season. “Black” refers to stores moving from the “red” to the “black,” back when accounting records were kept by hand, and red ink indicated a loss, and black a profit. In the 1960’s, the police in Philadelphia irritated by the congested streets, clogged with motorists and pedestrians, called it “Black Friday”.
