Brief History of the Artiste and His Musical Style
Evans Ogboi’s musical journey formally began with his debut album Miracle in 2007, which featured “Anumneka Jesus” – a track inspired by a personal testimony of his late father and recorded live at RCCG Living Faith Connections in London. Relocating permanently to the United Kingdom in 2011, he sought to expand his ministry and further his technical education. In London, he trained in audio engineering at SAE Institute, equipping him to steward production roles for his label Simplicity Records and to serve as Head of Productions. His leadership appointment as Music Director for the Living Faith Connections Mass Choir led to the 2013 album Beyond The Norm, earning a MOBO nomination for Best Gospel Act in 2014. Evans Ogboi’s musical style is best described as worldinfused praise and worship, seamlessly blending indigenous rhythms with modern congregational choruses to foster an atmosphere of cultural authenticity and heartfelt adoration. His approach often utilizes live instrumentation (piano, choir, and percussion) capturing spontaneous worship moments as heard in his Sounds of Heaven medleys.Register to attend the Connect Nigeria Business Mixer
