  The Mastercard Foundation has partnered with Arizona State University to offer fully funded professional certificate scholarships for African citizens. These online, self-paced programs develop in-demand skills in global management or supply chain management, with credits that can transfer toward future master’s degrees. Certificate completers will automatically be considered for fully-funded online master’s degree scholarships.

Available Online Programs

Two part-time certificate options are available:

  1. Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation

  • Offered by: Thunderbird School of Global Management
  • Focus: Leadership, cross-cultural management, ethical decision-making, sustainable development, and international business strategy
  • Duration: 10 months

  1. Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management

  • Offered by: W.P. Carey School of Business
  • Focus: Logistics, operations, procurement, and sustainable supply chain management
  • Duration: 4 months

Program Format

Courses are primarily asynchronous, allowing students to complete work on their own schedule within deadlines. Some optional live sessions or group discussions may be included to enhance learning.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Citizenship in an African country
  • Age 18-33 by application deadline
  • Demonstrated leadership and community service
  • Academic excellence
  • Financial need
  • Undergraduate degree completed by July 2025
  • No prior graduate/master’s degrees before August 2025
