Applications are currently open for Trainee Graduate Engineers and Trainee Graduate Operators. The aim of the Graduate Engineering Trainee is to learn and gain practical experience under the guidance of a manager or supervisor, fulfilling various tasks ranging from assisting staff with new projects, offering suggestions on existing methods, conducting research, writing reports, managing data and implementing systems, utilizing tools to optimize the cement production process.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the following Engineering discipline:
  1. Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation or Automation.
  2. Mechanical.
  3. Chemical.
  4. Process.
  5. Industrial.
  6. Mining.
  7. Production.
  8. Materials.
  9. Minimum of Second Class Upper.
  10. Not more than 3 years of post NYSC experience.
  11. Not more than 30years of age at the point of recruitment.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Good team player.
  • Must have a good level of order and cleanliness.
  • Must be understanding, influencing and good at communicating with people.
  • High level of organization and be result-oriented.
  • Must have a logical mind.
The aim of the Trainee Graduate Operators is to learn/train how to operate the plant equipment through the Centre Control Room (CCR) and to maintain an accurate log, record-keeping ensuring all information on the status of the operation is documented and keep superior information on operating conditions to enable monitoring of production progress and for the coordination of overall shift activities and effective coordination with maintenance activities.

Educational Requirements

  • HND holder in the following Engineering:
  1. Electrical /Instrumentation or Automation.
  2. Mechanical.
  3. Chemical.
  4. Process.
  5. Industrial chemistry.
  6. Applied Chemistry.
  7. Mining.
  8. Production.
  9. Materials.
  • Minimum entering Upper credit
  • Not more than 3 years post NYSC experience
  • Minimum entering age not more than 30years of age.
