The OceanHub Africa Acceleration Program is a 12-month accelerator for blue-economy startups. It specifically targets businesses that work to preserve and restore ideal conditions for Africa’s oceans. About 24 of these startups will be accepted into the accelerator. Applications are taken twice yearly and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Details of the Program

The OceanHub Africa Acceleration Program features top ocean experts, self-development coaches, mentors, and potential clients. It takes a hybrid format, combining a one-week in-person boot camp, a one-week in-person attendance at the annual Ocean Innovation Africa Summit, and remote sessions via online platforms. There will be two phases for each cohort. Following the initial stage, there will be evaluations to determine the 12 startups that will be selected for the next phase. The second stage, or the “Bridge to Opportunities”, will deliver extra engagement and support leading up to graduation.
