It is a flagship initiative of the Foundation, and it is focused on equipping fellows with technical and leadership skills that will enable them to contribute significantly to the research and policy design of their host institutions. Past MIF Fellows come from diverse backgrounds, including research and advisory work in economics, trade, development, conflict resolution, and peace studies. The Mo Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship is hinged on driving positive change and igniting innovations across the African continent by ensuring that the next generations of African leaders are provided with practical work experience at renowned international institutions.
