  Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) is currently receiving applications for its 2022/2023 Post-Primary Scholarship Award. Nigerian pupils seeking to enrol in a secondary school are invited to apply.

The NLNG Post-Primary Scholarship Award is specifically designed for high-performing pupils who hail from NLNG host communities. It will support such children through their secondary education by covering the cost of their school fees. Candidates will be admitted into the scholarship scheme based on criteria defined by its organizers. A selection test will be conducted, and the best performing candidates will be chosen to benefit from the scheme.

Pupils selected for the scholarship award will have their secondary school bursary costs covered by NLNG.

Eligibility

Persons who apply for the scholarship are expected to meet these conditions:
  • Be an indigene of an NLNG host community
  • Not be older than 12 years at the time of the application
  • Be a basic 5 or 6 pupil
  • Not be a ward or child of staff of the NLNG
  • Submit an attestation letter stamped and signed by the Head Teacher of their current school (the letter should include the contact telephone number of the Head Teacher)
  • Submit an indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC chairman of their community
  • Submit a letter of identification from their Local Government Council
  • Submit a recent passport-sized photograph (without glasses), taken not earlier than January 2022

Application Process

Application for the scholarship can be done on the NLNG website. After logging on to the site, prospective applicants should click on the ‘Social Performance’ menu and choose ‘Education’ from the drop-down menu. Next, they should go to the Related Links section of the page that appears and click on the Post Primary Scholarship application link. This will take them to the application portal. When they have accessed the portal, they can then click on ‘Register Here’ to create a profile and begin the application process. Note: applicants are expected to fill in a valid phone number and email address; they will be contacted via those means. The documents mentioned in the ‘eligibility’ section of this article should all be uploaded; incomplete uploads will lead to the disqualification of the application concerned.
