If you are a woman looking to begin a career in technology and you would like to receive world-class training that will help you excel at it, here’s an opportunity you should explore.   The Women Techsters Fellowship Program is seeking applications from young girls and women who it will support to build a career or business in tech. They are organizing this program with the aim of bridging the gap between men and women in the space, by equipping women with technical skills for which there’s a high demand.

The Women Techsters Fellowship Program, which is designed for women between the ages of 16 and 40 years, will last for a year. It will include a first part spanning 6 months, which will cover virtual technical and soft skills training. The latter 6 months will involve internships or business incubation, and mentorship. Note that the application process for this program is very competitive. Only the top 3% of applicants are admitted into the fellowship.

Eligibility

Persons who want to apply for a place in this program should meet these conditions:
  • A woman aged between 16 and 40 years
  • Be intellectually curious and rigorous
  • Have a knack for research
  • Willing to devote the time required to participate in and complete the program
