For you to scale your business, brand awareness is vital. Online marketing has come to be the ‘big gun’ in the marketing world now, and social media marketing seems to be topping the list. Every business now wants to have social proof and great followership across their social media platforms. The competition is high, and the concern remains on how to be relevant in the already dominated social media space. Here are a few tips on how you can increase your brand awareness on social media.
  1. Develop A Unique Identity

This is a major aspect of branding. Your company logo, colours and content pattern should be unique and consistent. When prospects visit your social media pages, there should be a common feel; a unique identity that your brand has. The tone and the voice you also engage with should be peculiar to your brand and should be relatable enough. This way, your visitors identify more easily with you.
  1. Use Visual Content

As earlier noted, social media is a wide space. People are naturally visual, so to capture their attention, you need to be intentional about it. Research has shown that visual contents tend to have more engagement than regular text. In essence, to even get people to read textual content, you need to capture them with appealing images that drive your thoughts. Create videos and graphic content that communicate your brand, and in no time, you will see the ripple effects.
  1. Repurpose Content

Content repurposing is also a major key to remaining relevant in the social media space. Asides from the fact that you may not be mentally or physically available to generate fresh content to promote your business, you may also need to drive home some vital information using different platforms. This requires that you, for instance, turn a PowerPoint presentation into a webinar or a blog post into infographics.
  1. Create Valuable Content

Social media is like a party. People are trooping in to catch cruise, but in the process, business connections are being made. Join the party, interact with people and add value to your content. You should not only be out to sell your product. Engage your followers with Q&As, opinion pools, giveaways and inspirational posts.

  1. Engage Accumulators

Accumulators are influencers and social media personalities that have accumulated the bulk of your prospective customers. They are individuals or other businesses in the same industry. Follow them, engage with their own content and learn from them on how well to promote your own brand.
  1. Use Hashtags

This strategy is one that some businesses tend to overlook. On platforms like Instagram and Twitter, hashtags come in very handy. This is because it expands the reach of your brand content beyond your immediate followers. Identify the best way to use them and start doing so.
  1. Join Groups

Platforms like Facebook have a great provision for groups. There are several groups with thousands and even millions of members. Wouldn’t it be wise to jump into that free traffic? Don’t start off by selling your product/service. Interact with members like you would in a party and make sure you share valuable posts. When this is done consistently, some members will be naturally drawn to you, then you can bring them under your funnel, depending on your marketing strategy.
  1. Run Targeted Ads

A proven way to increase your brand awareness is by running targeted social media ads. In your business marketing plan, there should be a provision for social media ads. This will help drive traffic to your page and business since you will be showing the ads to users who are interested in what you have to offer. Leverage this in order to make your brand more visible and convert your prospects. Featured Image Source: Fabrik Brands
