Tired of the usual cinema trips with your partner?
In the mood for some adventure?
We urge you to go somewhere unpredictable this summer, somewhere that’s sure to sweep her off her feet. Or him, for the ladies. Treat you and that special someone to a night on the town at one of these fun and swanky venues in Lagos.
Our city of excellence has more than enough on offer, but the secret is knowing where to look, and of course, deciding how much you’re willing to spend.
Here’s the rundown of favourite dating spots in Lagos you should definitely try:
Bogobiri: If you and your date are into the arts, you two will definitely love this hotspot in the heart of Ikoyi. It’s a hotel and restaurant by day, and the number one hangout spot for the artsy crowd at night. From open mic nights hosted by Taruwa, to live music bands and comedy sessions, Bogobiri’s the perfect place to unwind and get soulful.
Sweet Kiwi: This lovely venue’s a great spot for the health-conscious sweet tooth. Stop by at its Lekki Phase 1 outlet for a nice selection of very flavourful yoghurts and delicious toppings. The best part about this place is its quiet, calming atmosphere along with its rather friendly staff.
Tarkwa Bay: There are beaches in Lagos, and then there’s Tarkwa Bay. It’s a great destination to try for some romantic one-on-one time under the sun. You’ll start off your visit with a cool speedboat ride to the island, before cooling off by its pristine blue waters while on the lovely seating setting on the sand.
Lekki Leisure Lake: Are you two up for a bit of healthy competition? Then race each other while jet-skiing or quad bike riding by the lake. When you’re done, you’ll have delicious food and refreshing drinks waiting for you at the restaurant. Winner takes all!
Shaunz Karaoke Bar: Sing along to your favourite throwback hits at this cozy bar in Victoria Island. Admission and karaoke is free, and there are also available refreshments and food to order during your singing breaks.
Hardcore Ent’s Paintballing: More action comes your way with this thrilling fun activity hub at Omole Estate in Ikeja, Lagos. Paintballing is for the adventurous folk who don’t mind getting a bit dirty in the process.
Theatre at Terra Kulture/MUSON: Instead of watching the usual blockbuster movies, why not try a nice stage play instead? The big productions at Terra Kulture and MUSON are usually phenomenal and star studded, and you and your date can expect to end the evening fully entertained.
