Marketing strategy goes beyond ads. It is the whole business process that a company continually exhibits to be in the good books of clients. Whether you’re into the production of software, hardware, or a big business owner or an SME, there are several lessons to learn from Apple.
  • Keep It Simple

A good marketing strategy is not about talking too much. Life is far too complex for your marketing campaign to be complex. Complex marketing can overwhelm your clients. Apple over the years has been able to keep it simple. How do you keep it simple? You can do that through your product or your brand message. For instance, Apple has been associated with innovation and class. Apple users always have a sense of pride that they are using its product. Also, they know that Apple’s product is all about quality and top-notch features. This is how you should go about your marketing. Make a statement with your product and let your message be simple. Let the world know that you are out for one thing. Avoid jargon and technical terms. Just tell you offering them one thing that will address their several problems.
  • Leverage Reviews

One of the biggest marketing secrets of Apple is leveraging on reviews. How do they do it? Apple scouts people’s reviews and uses them as marketing campaigns. By relying on social proof as a mediate um of the campaign, Apple has increased the trust of people in their products. Thus as a business owner, your business can not grow effectively when there are no testimonials. For instance, having a feature in an online business magazine can build your business’s social proof. Also, asking customers to give you a review on their various social media handles goes a long way in growing your small business.

  • Focus On Unique Value Proposition Rather Than Price

It has been argued that Steve Jobs, founder of Apple Inc., emulated his marketing strategy from Japan. Good and quality goods market themselves. When a survey was done among car owners in America about the best cars between Toyota (a Japanese brand) and other brands, most car owners preferred Toyota. The reason is simple. Toyota is all about quality. Therefore, over the years, Apple has always focused on Unique Value Proposition (UVP) than price. While rival companies are using price as a means of marketing, Apple despite its expensive and pricey product still outsells its competitors. The reason is simple: Apple’s features are one in a million, and it is far ahead of others. Apple has always focused on providing a great user experience with great features and extensive applications that put it in a product class by itself. For example, Apple’s iPhone camera is unmatched in the tech industry. Whatever device Apple is offering, they make sure the customer feels like it’s worth paying the higher price. Therefore, the lesson for business owners is to give first-class services or products alongside unmatched values, clients will be willing to pay.
  • Remain Consistent In Your Brand Message

Alphas have always stood one for one thing – Thinking Differently. This is all about consistent innovation. As a company, Apple inspires the present to see the future by thinking differently. As a business owner, your brand message must be consistent. An ideal brand is all about consistently improving and bettering the lives of customers. You must look beyond your services or product and look forward to how it can create a lasting impression in the minds of users. Your brand message should how your clients view you. There are some businesses that clients view as old school, while others are seen as a new school. Featured Image Source: MARKS IP LAW FIRM
