Here are some tips on things you can do when visiting a waterfall.

Dress Right:

Ladies – Wear clothes like Romper, shorts with top, short dress, and jeans trouser with hiking shoes. Men – A basic tee shirt, shorts, and jeans trousers with hiking boots should be just fine. The short outfits are for those who want to play in the water without changing out into swimwear. This way, you can walk into the water and snap a great shot without getting completely wet. Some persons advocate for carrying waterproof jackets or thick clothing. That depends on if you intend swimming or getting wet at the falls. Sometimes, the area and water at the falls can be freezing. So, after basking in it, you might need a cardigan or warm clothing to help you raise your body’s temperature. Also, the need for trousers depends on the distance and environment you will have to hike through to get to the waterfall. Sometimes, you may have to walk up a hill, other times you may have to wade through a forest. Also, bring backup sandals or water-resistant shoes. The right footwear can prevent injuries sustained when hiking.

Tour Activities:

Hiking & Road Trip – Before going to the waterfall, there is usually a distance to cover. Either you have to drive to where it is or hike up an unbeaten trail to the spot. If you are coming from the city, treat the journey to the waterfall like a road trip. Carry snacks and drinks for the ride. Swimming – If the current is not too strong, you can swim in the pool formed at the base of the waterfall. You can also stand under the falls and let it cascade over you in torrents. If the terrain has dead tree trunks or is too rocky for a swim, you can sit or let your feet get wet in the flow.

Capturing The Moment:

Strike a Pose – Even if you want to sit on a slippery rock, try to strike a pose. Let your expressions show excitement. To look comfortable, you need to be relaxed when striking your pose. Choose a spot where you are comfortable, not one where the chances of getting hurt are high. Camera – Carry a waterproof camera and lens. With this, you can take shots under the water or not worry about the water damaging your equipment. If you don’t have it, get a transparent covering to protect your camera. Angles – If you go during the dry season, the waterfall won’t be as full as during the rainy season. So choose an angle for your shot that makes the fall still look majestic. Aerial shots are amazing. Looking away from the falls or having your back to the camera makes the waterfall as a backdrop take centre stage. The angle you use might make the difference between a superb shot and a mediocre one. If you are travelling to a town to see a waterfall, we hope this info was helpful to you.
