Watford beat United 4-1 and the former Club Brugge forward was involved in three of his side’s four goals as the Claudio Ranieri managed Hornets beat the Red Devils at the Vicarage Road. Dennis provided the assist for Joshua King who gifted Watford the lead in the early stages of the first half. Watford would make it 3-1 in the dying minutes of the second half, thanks to an assist from Dennis which was netted by Joao Pedro. The Nigerian would complete his excellent showing at the Vicarage Road with a fourth strike for the newly-promoted side.

On the domestic scene, attention was drawn to Lagos as ex-footballers John Terry of England and Roberto Carlos, Brazil, arrived in Lagos for a ‘Budweiser Game of Kings’ novelty match alongside a few selected players of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos State. The duo also took their time out to do some pep talks and interviews aimed at encouraging stars and talents across the country hoping to attain their legendary status.
