Nabsolute Media, a Nigerian media communications and marketing organisation has emerged to create a public relations platform for independent artistes at an affordable rate. With the launch of its platform, Spinheard, Nabsolute is providing a fast-track system for Nigerian artistes in entertainment.

“SpinHeard is the next frontier for us. We’re trying to automate what we do for a lot of artists,”

Former music journalist and founder of Nabsolute, Victor Okpala, tells Techpoint Africa. Okpala recognizes the value of having a viable platform and the necessary contacts as someone who had to put himself out there back when he was starting out. However, he understands that times have changed and the main determinants for exposure are now time and chance. Indeed, it’s now easier to grab public attention thanks to the internet. But the likelihood of succeeding based on luck alone is still significantly slim. Enter Nabsolute. Through innovative use of technology, storytelling, and a network of influencers to promote content on a large scale, Nabsolute has designed Spinheard to cater to artistes in need of exposure.

How Spinheard Works

Spinheard provides an account to first-time users such as artistes, managers, and curators. The platform runs similarly to the likes of Upwork, Freelancer, and Credo. All artistes have to do is pitch their content directly to listeners who can easily discover them. There are also various starter kits on the platform that can assist artists in presenting their pitches in acceptable formats.
