  Stanbic IBTC has announced that it is offering scholarships to selected young Nigerians who have gained admission into universities across the country.

The bank says it will be supporting about 100 people with scholarships worth ₦40 million, which will cover four years of study at a federal or state university in Nigeria. According to the bank, this program is in line with a broader drive to help youths achieve their dreams. Other youth-focused programs from Stanbic IBTC include the Youth Leadership Series (YLS) and Higher Institution Football League (HIFL) among others.

Benefits

Persons selected for this program will receive scholarships that support their education for four academic years.

Eligibility

Applicants are expected to meet these conditions to qualify for selection:
  • Resident in Nigeria.
  • Took the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in 2021.
  • Had a score of at least 250 in the 2021 UTME.
  • Gained admission into and is currently enrolled at a federal or state university.

Persons selected for the scholarship will have to remain enrolled at their university to benefit from it for as long as it lasts.

Application Process

Intending applicants should upload these documents at the application portal to apply for the scholarship:
  • UTME result
  • O Level statement of result or certificate
  • Admission Letter
  • Recent passport photograph
  • Valid ID Card
Note: Each file size should be no more than 200KB. The passport photograph format should be in JPEG; other files must be in PDF. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2021.
