  Foluke Akinmoladun is the founder and Managing Solicitor at Trizon Law Chambers, a legal firm based in Lagos. She has over 13 years of experience in legal practice, encompassing litigation, commercial law, and alternative dispute resolution.

Specifically, she has taken on cases in maritime, estate management, debt recovery, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contracts, Joint Venture Documentation, legal risk analysis, and mediation around family law matters. Through Trizon, she works as a solicitor, helping to draft contracts and claims, and performs company secretarial duties, facilitates land documentation, and represents parties in civil and criminal cases. Foluke’s expertise covers Nigerian and international law. She’s a member of the United Kingdom’s Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and was once head of the secretariat of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre. She’s an active member of several legal associations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, where she’s a treasurer of its Lagos branch. Foluke is also a part of the Young International Arbitrators Group of the London Court of International Arbitration (YIAG); the Young ICCA (International Council for Commercial Arbitration); and the YAF-ICC (Young Arbitrators Forum of the International Chamber of Commerce).

Her practice has sometimes involved addressing family law matters with the support of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA). Fokuke has written extensively on legal issues; her pieces have appeared in both local and international publications, including the Constitution Law Journal of the International Bar Association, and the International Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Bulletin. Apart from writing and publishing legal commentary, Foluke is a peer reviewer for the World Bank’s International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She is a member of the Presidential National Action Committee on Nigeria’s readiness to implement the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), and currently the Director-General of the African Ship Owners Association of Nigeria. Foluke has a degree in Law from the Obafemi Awolowo University and is an alumnus of the Nigerian Law School, and the American University, Cairo, Egypt.
