Is there a way to make them more comfortable? There is. In fact, there are several ways to make them just right for your feet. Here are three tips you can try today to make those fancy-looking but uncomfortable shoes in your closet better suited for your feet.

Stuff the Shoes

Pack the shoes to excess with objects—rocks, cloth, crumpled paper, etc. Leave the shoes in this state for a while (hours or a few days). If they stretch just a little at the first attempt, do it again with more material. Over time, they should expand enough to take in your feet without trouble.

Test Out The Shoes With Multiple Pairs of Socks

You’re going to wear those shoes in a few days. Why not stretch them out right now? Wear a thick pair of socks—or several of them –then wear the shoe. Pace about in them for a few minutes. Take them off when the pain comes. Then try them out again.

Do this several times every day for the next few days. You’ll see the shoe expand to accommodate your feet pretty nicely.

Apply Heat

Wear a pair of socks, and put your shoes on. Take a hairdryer, adjust it to high heat, and apply the heat to parts of the shoes that feel uncomfortably tight. Move your feet about and draw your toes back and forth in the shoe as you do this. This process will stretch your shoes and make them easier to wear.

Final Words

These are just some of the many ways you can make your shoes good for your feet. Try them with those shoes you gave up on a while ago, and see the magic play itself out. Featured Image Source: iStock
