Eve After Dark is one of the more recent entrants into the food delivery business in the country. But they’re standing out of the crowd of businesses that offer this service. This company combines two things—sumptuous meals and a unique brand image –into a whole that food lovers can’t resist. Founded in 2019, Eve After Dark is owned (in part) by Richard Nnadi, a serial entrepreneur. Some of his other ventures include Yaaaga, a digital platform for the purchase of food, drinks, and event tickets; and Duke of Spades, an NGO that takes care of less-privileged children in various African countries. In just over a year, Eve After Dark has become one of Lagos’s better-known cloud kitchens. There’s a growing demand for its meals, especially from the city’s middle class, who form the bulk of its target market. Some of that popularity comes from the quality and diversity of its servings. The menu includes assorted preparations of rice, soups, bakes, proteins, and other food types. It’s dominated by local meals, but there are exotic culinary influences at play with these meals too. The rice meals from Eve After Dark range from the regular white rice and tomato sauce, to savoury variations like the native rice, coconut rice, basmati jollof rice, and rice with Ofada sauce. Other offerings on the menu are yam, plantain, and sweet potato porridge, regular noodles, seafood noodles, and seafood pasta.

Lovers of the authentically traditional meal may select one of the many treats in this category. They can order wraps of either white semolina or garri, along with soups like Ogbono, Seafood Egusi, Seafood Okra, Oha, Ewedu, and Gbegiri. These dishes are supplemented with proteins like chicken (of various kinds), beef, fish, prawns, and snails. Bread, Omelettes, and sausages are available too, as are egg, beef, and fish sauces. Eve After Dark provides combination packages (‘combos’) as well. These ‘boxes’ contain a fitting mix of some of its preparations.
