Known for her significant efforts in combatting blood shortage in Nigeria, Temie Giwa Tubuson, founder of the One Percent Project and Lifebank, took tremendous steps in promoting coronavirus testing in Lagos.
FollOwing attempts to raise awareness about the pandemic, she launched two mobile drive-through centres to boost coronavirus testing in Lagos.
According to her, she was spurred to launch the testing centres after concluding that Nigeria’s testing capacity was low. “I read too much about the virus and got anxious. I realised that testing was a problem so I started to think up ways to get more people tested for the virus,” she told CNN.
John Obidi
