Running is convenient It doesn’t require much preparation to start running unlike hitting the gym or joining a basketball team. Running is free to do and can be done anywhere and anytime. All you have to do is step out of your home and start. Just get a pair of running shoes, choose your preferred location for your running sessions (e.g. treadmill, track, or the park), and you will be right on track (pun intended). Running Helps You Sleep Better  Sleep is important for many health reasons. If you’re not getting enough sleep, your mental and physical health can suffer. Studies show that exercise helps you to fall asleep more quickly and improves sleep quality. According to an article in the American Journal of Lifestyle, the connection between exercise and sleep goes both ways. The more you exercise, the better your sleep gets. The worse the quality of your sleep, the lesser the energy you will have to exercise.

Running is Good For The Heart When you engage in challenging aerobic exercises like running, your body enhances the functioning of your entire cardiorespiratory system to meet up with the demands of that exercise. Your lungs, heart, and the vascular system will all begin to work better at delivering oxygen throughout your body. And the more efficient they become, the better your health will be. Running Can Help You Reach Your Weight Loss Goals  Running is highly effective for weight loss because it involves the continuous movement of the entire body weight. You can burn about 12.2 calories per minute running for 10 minutes. And you don’t have to run fast to achieve this result. You can run slow and still burn the same amount of calories (but it will take longer). Although running is not easy, it is something you can do. The health benefits it provides make it an exercise worth considering. Source: Healthline Featured Image Source: You Work For Them
