Wofai Ewa, better known as Wofaifada, is an Instagram comediene, TV presenter and actress. She started out posting comedy skits on Instagram without any foreknowledge that she would become a thriving comedienne. Today, she has over 800,000 followers on Instagram and has ventured into acting and other forms of entertainment.

Life Before the Fame
It is hard to believe that the Instagram comedienne hawked several commodities from palm oil, waterleaf, mangoes, sugarcane, groundnut and sachet water. According to her, this started at the young age of 12. “My mum is a hustler and I got that from her. I always looked for something to do because I didn’t want to sit in one place. If I am not busy, I may fall sick,” she told Punch. She continued to trade even when she gained admission into the University of Calabar and moved to Lagos to continue the hustle.
Venture Into Comedy
From a young age, Wofai has always had a sense of humour. She started doing comedy skits on the request of her friends who found her funny. According to her, she never started with the intention to be famous. She started doing it because of her friends. It was, however, when her skits started receiving positive reactions on social media that she knew this was a career path she wanted to take.

On Her Inspiration
Wofai says her biggest inspiration is Funke Akindele. She started watching her on the series, I Need to Know and has been an ardent fan of hers ever since. Indeed, Funke Akindele has earned the reputation of the “Queen of Comics In Nigeria”. She started out in a time when there was no Instagram and has paved a way for other commedians like Wofai in the industry.
