A lot of young minds are not aware of the vast resource that is available in their locale. These fresh minds are filled with the zeal of learning, however rather than learning from others mistakes, they make their own as young entrepreneurs and may never recover. Some people, on the other hand, satisfy their intellectual curiosity by searching for knowledge in articles and books written by successful business owners, marketers, and entrepreneurs, such as Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert T Kiyosaki, Awaken The Giant Within, by Tony Robbins and many others. While this search of knowledge should be encouraged, many of the principles found in those books may not be applicable in the green white green landscape of the commerce. Therefore, it is pivotal to recommend books written in the Nigerian sphere for young business minded individuals. One of such books is Emmanuel Odoemelam’s Wisdom For Life: The 12 Irresistible Principles of Life & Business Success. Emmanuel Odoemelam writes to teach young people the right way of operating. His reason for writing is to address man’s innate desire to be successful and to highlight that success is a product of certain principles that everyone with the desire to be successful must live by.  He is the host of Nigerian first entrepreneurship radio program which is SME Business Platform on Inspiration FM and an associate partner of SME Business Platform, a multimedia company that provides education and inspiration to aspiring and existing business enthusiasts.  Wisdom For Life: The 12 Irresistible Principles of Life& Business Success, with an introductory chapter and twelve chapters, is covered with green and white colored hardcover. The Introduction discusses the principle of success, stating that success is neither accidental nor geographical, but by careful application of its principles and strategies that have worked for the author and other successful people, we are aware of. The first chapter discusses the principle of understanding one’s value, as the concept of value distinctively connotes the name given to any object that either makes our goals possible or easy to achieve. The next chapter proceeds to one of the most important requirements for success which is to set out a goal and structure a plan that is accurate. In this chapter I learned the three lists needed for success; the To-do list, the Not to Do List and the Stop Doing List. The following chapters discuss the handling of early beginnings by starting small and doing what is doable. The author went ahead to question the reader’s hunger for success and addressing ignoring hearsays, naysayers, recognizing problems as a blessing in disguise, having wealth creating thoughts, selling one’s  skill to get the financial requirement needed to succeed as this would lead you to become a millionaire. As you recognize and develop your talents, your required attitude for success and breaking free of your fear. Alumni of the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University, Emmanuel Odoemelam recollects in his books several quotations made by successful people across the world and expresses them in a full chapter, using business inclined languages. He highlighted the wisdom tidbits for success which he had gathered over his years of reading and doing. Even though many grammatical errors were made in the book, it can be pardoned because of the invaluable knowledge it contains. In all, I recommend this success manual to struggling business owners, aspiring business owners, those in the business sphere and to everyone who wishes to have a success story in his/her life.
