DSTV mobile has launched a plug and play mobile Digital Video Broadcasting – Handheld (DVB-H) receiver for Apple devices called the iDrifta. What this means is that you can use this device to receive directly from DSTV Mobile with your iPhone.

According to the General Manager of DSTV Mobile Nigeria, Mayo Okunola, users of apple devices including the iPod, can now access the full range of channels from DSTV Mobile.

“After plugging it into your iOS device, the iDrifta device redirects the user directly to the DSTV Mobile application on the apple store and the user only needs to download it for free to start watching their favourite programmes. This means that viewers with Apple mobile devices can now access our full range of channels anywhere, anytime – from Sound City all the way through to SuperSport 3N.” Mayo Okunola Stated.

The iDrifta is now available on all MultiChoice service centers and goes for N9,500.

DSTV also launched its new Walka 7, a portable 7 inch television still offering a wide range of channels from DSTV. The Walka 7 is making its debut in Nigeria, and will be available from the 20th of September in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Ibadan, Enugu, Asaba, Aba, Ibadan, Benin, Kaduna and Onitsha.

“In order to continue to inspire, entertain and delight our subscribers, it is critical that we offer them the very latest world-class devices,” says Okunola.
